Fear Has Torment

Hello: I know I've been missing in action lately, but as most of you know, I have a brand new beautiful baby girl. We have just about gotten the routine down, but some days are hit and miss. Being a new mother is wonderful, but as my mother says "Babies are W-O-R-K", and they are. But in this new role, worry and fear have tried to take hold of me. The word of God tells me that 'God has not given me a spirit of fear but of love and of power and of a sound mind. This fear that something was going to happen to my child tried to take a strong grip of my mind. I couldn't really sleep because I was constantly looking to make sure that she was still breathing. And you might be saying 'You a new mom and every new mom goes throught that'. But every new mom is not a child of God. I know what the Word of God says. I know that I have the authority to bind up any and everything that is not of God, but for some reason I was not able to speak the Word of God - a...

God looks at the Inner Man

Good Afternoon: I just want to take time out this day to thank God for the wonderful gift that my husband and I are about to receive. At my doctor's appt. yesterday, I was notified that we will be inducing to birth our first child, Angelina. I can't tell how happy we both are. Children are a blessing, and she will no doubt be a very wonderful blessing to us. Well, we are all saved, sanctified and set apart for the glory of God this day. I know that you are continuing in your new found walk and relationship with your Lord, Jesus Christ. Because we have been bought with life so precious, we know that God loves us - He loves us unconditionally. I Samuel 16: 7 that the Lord doesn't make decisions the way the we do. People judge by the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at a person heart - their thoughts and intentions. God knows that when you said the sinner's prayer that you were sincere in your asking Him to be Lord over/in your life. You now belong to Him. ...

Putting on the Armor of the Lord

Good Morning! The Lord is great and greatly to be praised! Don't forget to praise the Lord today for He alone is worthy of our praise. I want to talk about putting on the whole armor of the Lord today. I know we've talked about this before, but I want to revisit this. I want to make sure that this is something you're doing everyday. I want this to be like getting up in the morning and brushing your teeth (hopefully this is something you're doing every morning). This should be an everyday thing. We need to be protected from the tricks of the enemy. Especially since we've rededicated ourselves to the Lord, and you've probably shared that with someone else - you have to understand that the devil is not happy about this. The Bible tells us that the devil comes immediately to steal, kill and destroy. He does not want you to have a relationship with the Father. He wants you to continue as you were; he wants you to think that everything is "ok". B...

The Reason for Salvation

Good Morning: I am here to tell you this morning that God's Word is true. Things, situations and people will pass away, but God's Word will never pass away. It is the same today as it was yesterday just as He is. I don't want to get off of salvation just yet. And I know what you must be saying 'I've heard this a thousand times; I've said the sinners prayer; I go to church and I pay my tithe.' These are things that we all should be doing. But I want to show you in the Word of God where it's says that unless you are born again, received Jesus as Lord, that you can never see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3). I also want to give you some scriptures to prepare you for when others would questions your christianity, your salvation. There are maybe friends and relatives that know the "old man" and do not realize that you have been "made new" in Christ Jesus. Not that you should argue with anyone, but we all should know what the Word say...

God's Greatest Gift

Good Morning: God is good and He is good all of the time. He is so good that He has given us the greatest gift of all, His son Jesus. The Word of God tells me in John 3: 16 that God so loved the world that He gave His only son, so that everyone that believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. He wants us to live in eternity with Him, and that we shall do. This is what is on my heart this day. This is a new day, a new year for new beginnings. And I think that we should start it off right by putting our lives under the Blood of Jesus. I not going take for granted that we are all saved and covered by the Blood of the Lamb. But what I want to do today is for us to say the sinners prayer. This way there are no if's, and's or buts - no doubts - concerning our salvation with our Lord Jesus Christ. I want you to say, speak it loud enough for you to hear it, this prayer of salvation. There maybe some that don't know Jesus as Lord or may have loved ones that don...

Mercy, Not Wrath

The Living Water speaks of the Lord's mercy and not His wrath. Boy am I glad that we have new mercies every morning, and that He loves me unconditionally. He gives me chance after chance because He loves me. And I pray that I continue in His will. Sometimes we can get so far out of His will for us (His will being His Word) that He takes His protective hands off of us. God can not look upon our sins. Trust me, I've been there, and that's not a place you want to be - out of His will. When you're not in the will of the Lord and His hands have been removed from you, then things are allowed to happened - things that we wouldn't have to go through if we were in the will of the Father. If you are wondering why things are going on in your life, and you're going to church, then begin to look inward - begin to examine yourself to see if there is an area(s) that you have not dealt with - areas in your life that you have not put under the blood of Jesus. Have you ever ...

He is Not a Man

I thank God that He is not a mere man - that He is God and doesn't act like man. He is not a mere man that He will lie - everything He has said in His Word He will do. He is faithful that promises. His mercies are new every morning and His grace is sufficient for us. He loves us unconditionally, and when we sincerely ask for forgiveness, He forgives us. The Living Water is talking about forgiveness. How often we should forgive the same person? Jesus respond by saying seventy times seven (70 x 7 =490). And He's not talking about over the course of your life, but within a day. Now, I have not arrived in this area of my Christian walk. I still have alot of work that needs to be done. I have the "I forgive, but don't forget" syndrome. Usually when someone has wronged me, I just "feed that person with a long handled spoon" - meaning that I just don't interact with them as much. I'm social and civil, but I am always watching and waiting. I u...
