The Left Behind Series - Be Ready!

Oh how happy I am when they say ‘Let us go to the House of the Lord’. I am so very thankful, so very grateful that I know Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. I love the peace of knowing that no matter what goes on in my life – God can and will make a way of escape. He is more than able to see me through and to bring me through VICTORIOUSLY! Many are the affliction of the righteous, BUT GOD delivers us from them ALL! I appreciate the Father so much! We should tell Him and show Him more than we do. I am reading the Left Behind Series (authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins), and I just love these books. I just want to say “Thank You” to my wonderful husband who has bought me the second set of five books (6-10) for Mother’s Day. I have finished two (2) of the five already. I know I am late reading these books, and I’ve seen all the movies. And yes, I do understand that this series is a work of fiction, and that these are characters in the books, but I’ve taken this journey with ...

Simple Enough, Right?

Hallelujah! Jesus is alive and is seated at the right hand of the Father! He ever lives to make intercession for us! Jesus is rooting for us to win, and win we can with Him as Lord and Savior! Well Praise God! Have you ever heard or seen something so simple, so easy that you think everybody should be able to understand it. I know some things we have to hear more than once to get them/understand them, but there are some things so simple that it’s really a “no brainer” or at least it should be. With my daughter, I’ve explained to her that she shouldn’t push her brother; don’t push your brother, and you won’t get into trouble with Mommy. Sounds simple enough! Now, yes I understand that she is ONLY three (3), but Angie’s is a very smart little girl. She understands that when she does this, pushing her brother, it doesn’t make Mommy very happy, and that she has done something wrong. I know she knows this is wrong, because as soon as she does it she apologizes and prays for her b...

The Church Reasoning Itself from the Word of God

(This is alittle long, but it's good. So read it when you have time. I look forward to hearing your comments.) Ok, no salutations, I’m just going to jump right into this. As you can see from the title, this could be a somewhat touchy topic for some, but for those who love the truths of God’s Word, I hope that you will be encouraged, enlightened and decide to do your very best at keeping the commandments of God. Now, I’m going to take the advice of a former pastor and good friend of mine and apologize for how anything discussed here may sound. Please understand that this is what I believe is the truth of God’s Word. I am not condemning or judging anyone; besides, God confiscated my “stoning stones” and told me I’m not fit to carry them let alone throw them. Those who read this blog know me and know that I love them, but these same people should know that I will always speak what I believe is the truth. Let us have an honest, loving, lively-spirited discussion; let’s not get ...

Starting Over!

Let me just say that God is still on the throne, and no matter what the enemy and those he may use to cause troubles do - WE WIN! The Almighty God is on our side, and He always causes us to triump! Sometimes we have to go back to go forward. When teaching my three (3) year old daughter to count, she would sometimes skip numbers, and I would make her start over. She was not very happy about having to start over; she wanted to move on to the next number, but she needed to know and understand that to learn to count correctly she needed to count or to say the number in the correct order. There is a right and correct way to everything. It’s the same way with God. When you start your walk with Him, if you don’t fully learn or get all the basics you need to walk this walk, you’re not going to be able to operate effectively and efficiently at the level God needs and wants you to. In God, there are different levels of faith, maturity, power and glory we can experience. But there is a way...

Never Let Me Get Away with Anything

Glorrrrrryyyyyy Hallelujah!!!! A couple of week ago, I was running some errands and was in a bit of a rush. I had taken Dorrien to the dermatologist (unexpectantly) and had gotten a prescription for him. Being proactive, I went to the pharmacist to give them the new insurance information and prescription so all I would have to do is pick it up and pay for it. Well as I’ve told you before, the devil is not too happy with my encouraging people in their faith/in the Word of God; so he is always trying to do stuff. Even with him “trying” to trip us up, we, Christians, still have to walk upright and in love. And anyone who professes the name of the Lord Jesus, whether five-fold ministry or lay-Christians) should strive to walk in love as Jesus did. But getting back to my running errands……………. After running around with my two “patient” children, I had gone back to the pharmacist, and the lady behind the counter informed me that the insurance didn’t go through. Say what now??? I took ...

A Compassionate Jesus!

Hey Everybody, This year I have decided to read through the entire Bible. I am using one of the reading plans on Bible Gateway’s site. You know how you’ve read a scripture before, but you read it again and a “light” comes on; or it causes you to pause and ponder. Well I am using the reading plan that allows you to read some of the Old Testament and The New Testament at the same time. In reading The New Testament, I’m reading a lot about Jesus – as I have done many times before. But in reading about Jesus casting out demons and healing the sick, it mentions many times how Jesus was moved or filled with compassion. Compassion? I think I know what compassion means, but I decided to look it up in the dictionary (my sister/asst. pastor does this a lot). Compassion is defined as a deep awareness of the suffering of another. Jesus is deeply aware of our sufferings. He’s see us right where we are, and just as He healed the sick, He will do the same for us. Healing can take place in a...

JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY!

If you are a Christian, and you are using the Bible as your source of truth and guide for life, then you should know and understand that Jesus is the only way to get to Heaven. A lot of people that read this blog are family and good friends of mine, and they know and love me no matter what I say or believe. But for those that do not know me as well I want you to understand that I’m only going to speak the truth here. And if I can’t back what I am saying with the Word of God, then I don’t say it. I understand that there are different denominations and churches, and not all of my family, friends and potential new friends go to the same church as I do. I only know what is being taught in my church by my pastor, and if it is not in the Word of God she doesn’t preach it. There was a pole taken that stated that 57% of evangelicals, Christians, believe that there are other ways to get to Heaven, to have salvation. If your pastor is preaching that there are other ways to get to Heaven a...
