No Surprising God

Well if you haven’t heard yet, my husband and I are expecting another bundle of joy due September 25th of this year. I'm thinking it's a boy because I have been so sick just like with Dorrien. Most of you know that I said Dorrien was it – No more babies, and I meant it! I guess God had a different plan/idea about that for us. When I found out, I wasn’t mad or “over-joyed”, but God has placed a desire and an excitement on the inside of me for the baby. Yeah, it would seem that this has interrupted some plans of mine and my husband, but here we are. I will say that I did not want to be pregnant; it’s just the truth. But I keep reminding myself that there is nothing that will happen in my life that God doesn’t already know will happen. He knows everything about me; He even knows the number of hairs on my head (Matt 10:32). He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. There is nothing that escapes the eyes of the God (Job 34:21). The Holy Spirit reminded that nothing...

Run to God!

When I was growing up, I remembered that if anyone ever messed with me, they were messing with my big sister too. She might whip upon me, but no one else could. All I had to do is tell her somebody was messing with me, and that person was dealt with; no more problems with that particular person. This is how I sometimes dealt with my early childhood problems – tell big sister or brother; or better yet, tell momma. Now that I am an adult, maturing in Christ every day, increasing from glory to glory, I know that I can run to King Jesus. I know and understand that it’s not necessarily the person who has come up against me, but the principalities, powers, rulers of darkness in high places, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Those who do not belong to Jesus belong to Satan; it’s just that black and white – either you are saved or you are not. When one has not been reconciled unto God through Christ Jesus, they can be used to do the work of the en...

Priorities

This New Year we have made New Year’s resolutions/commitments, but I want to give you something to think about. So many times when we make these new commitments, we have them “out of order”. This is not to say that things we commit to do aren’t good things, but that there are more important things to consider in this time we are living. Here is how I believe we should prioritize: 1. God/Kingdom of God 2. If Married, your spouse 3. If child(ren), then the kids 4. Careers/Professions 5. Whatever other hobbies or commitments Always put Jesus, God the Son - made flesh, first! He is the only way we can be reconciled unto the Father. He is the only way to Heaven. In Him we find everything we need – life, joy/happiness, peace, health, and richness in every area of life – unconditional love. He knows what we were and what we were doing even before we asked Him into our hearts, yet He still loved us anyway. Cultivating our relationship with Jesus should be our number one priority. ...

The Joy of the Lord......

Well Praise the Lord! I don’t know about you, but I am so happy to know Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. There is truly nothing that I’ve ever experience that can compare with having Him in my life. The Word of God tells us, warns us that we will have trials and tribulation, BUT be of good cheer for He, Jesus, has already overcame the world, and so will we. As I’ve written before, I believe the Word of God, the Bible, is the truth, so this is true too. The Word of God tells that the joy of the Lord is our strength. Just think about it…….. The joy of knowing Jesus is who He says He is, and that He can do the things the Word says He can do gives me strength. Knowing that He will never leave me gives me strength, knowing that He is for me gives me strength, knowing that He is on my side gives me strength. Some things we go through can make us feel alone and defeated, but I know that though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, Jesus is with me; this strengthens me....

Only YOU!

Well praise the Lord. I am always going to remind you of that moment in a twinkling of an eye that we are or should be preparing and pressing towards when we hear the call “come up hither”. It will happen, and I want to tell as many people as I can to be ready and how to be ready – to make Jesus Christ Lord and Savior. There is NO other way – Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no man can come unto the Father God except through Christ (John 14:6). It is so easy to know Him. Once you’ve settled it that you are going all the way with Jesus (you have to make this decision), all you have to do is confess the Lord Jesus as Savior, believe in your heart that He died on the cross for you, and that He arose of that third glorious day, then you are saved (Romans 10:9,10). This prayer is also on this site; tell someone. Once you’ve done this, it’s up to you to cultivate/maintain your relationship with Jesus. I thank God for all the pastors and other ministers (five-fold ministry – ...

Truth or Fiction?

Well Gloorrry Hallelujah! Jesus is Alive! And those of us who keep our minds stayed upon Him, He will keep in perfect peace. We serve an AWESOME God! He along is worthy of our praise. Do you actually believe God's Word is truth or fiction? I can say for myself that I have always believed and still believe that God's Word, the Bible, is truth. Some think that the Bible is full of "feel good, positive stories" to motive us to do good. Some think that some of the stories are too far-left to actually be true. But as a Christian, as a true believer of God's Word, I believe even those that would defy the laws of reasonable, natural thinking to be truth. Take for instance the story of Moses dividing the Red Sea. To the natural mind, there is no way that this could have occurred. But I know in my heart and believe with every fiber of my being that this story is truth. This is not just a good "bedtime" story; it actually happened. And no, I wasn'...

Sons and Daughters

I was up late the other night; I couldn’t sleep. So I just began to thank the Lord and told Him how much I appreciate Him – you know just loved on Him. I began to listen, and I heard that we are all children of God. We were all made/birth in His image, but we are not all sons and daughters of God. He showed me this in this illustration: A billionaire father has twelve (12) children, but only four (4) were mature enough to run the family business and would truly enjoy the benefits of the inheritance the father had for the children. These four (4) walked, talked, studied and mimicked their father so they could continue and have the success their father had and had put in place for them to have. The other eight (8) didn’t put forth the time or the effort to truly learn of or from the father. They never really cultivate the relationship with the father. They had access to the father; they saw him in passing. They said their hellos and goodbyes so quickly; they so busy living and...
