To See His Face

You know, this life can deal us an affair hand. It can seem so unfair even to us that believe. As some of you know we recently moved from Virginia to Georgia. I loved Virginia, and I didn’t want to move. This move seems to be nothing but problems. I registered the kids for school, and Dorrien has had a hard time adjusting. No matter what we do, it’s seems like we can’t get ahead. I had to take Dorrien to the emergency room, and I recently found out that I have an iron deficiency – low iron count. Sometimes I just don’t understand why things happen to me. I do understand that time and chance happen to us all; that’s what the Word of God tells us – He has forewarned us. But what I don’t understand is why it’s back to back to back. It’s like I can’t catch my breath from one battle to the next. It’s like as soon as I bandage wounds from one fight another one has already started. Today, I got the chance to watch this movie my mom said I should check out months ago. I tried t...

It's Time to Maintain

Hello, Hello All: I know it seems as though I've been "A-Wall" lately, but I needed to fight some battles. I am still fighting the good fight of faith, and waiting my complete Victory in Jesus's Name. Now back to the message at hand "It's Time to Maintain". We can maintain many things in many areas. In some areas, it can be hard to maintain for many reasons. Many of you know that I love to workout. I’ve taken many classes and have done countless video workouts. The results are awesome. I looked and felt awesome too. As my life changed, in becoming a wife and stay-at-home mom, it has been somewhat difficult to maintain my workout regiment, weight loss and look of “awesome”. I still love working out, but finding the time, doing effective workout (interruption, children between legs and having the energy) has made it difficult maintain a regiment and desired weight loss. In taking the time to think about how to maintain my workout, I’ve learned t...

Is God Real?

What if God isn’t real??? I’ve heard this question before, and before I go any further let me just say that I am sold that there IS a God; there is no doubt in my mind that God exist. This question was inquired along with the question “What if you are doing all this praying and believing for nothing?” When I heard this question it did not give me pause or made me ponder, but rather reminded me of way I do these things (prayer, belief and worship) , and that I need to be doing even more than what I am doing right now. I don’t think the question was asked to deceive or create doubt, but was a sincere one, but remember the devil is subtle, like a roaring lion seeking those he can devour; and we also know that he has come to steal, kill and destroy our faith and belief in God. If this question was inquired of me directly I would explain it like this. Besides looking at all of the wonders we see with our eyes every day, being in person or on TV, there is evidence that there is a God. ...

Do You Fear Hell Enough??

Do You Fear Hell? There are some people that believe that just being “good” is going to grant them entrance into Heaven. A lot of people think just because they attend church every time the doors are opened that they are going to Heaven. But what these people don’t realized or do not acknowledge is that being good and/or going to church doesn’t make you a Child of God. It is good to be a “good” person and to attend church (Hebrews 10:25 - 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching), but if there is still sin, habitual sin, in your life, you are not going to Heaven. Let me make this simple and plain so that it is easily understood; if you are not doing the Word of God, loves what He loves and hate what He hates, you are going to Hell. The Word of God says that when Jesus comes back He will be looking for those who look like Him. Jesus did the Will of the Father, His Word! There...

Praise!

How many times have you said or heard someone say “That was some good praise and worship this Sunday morning.” But praise is not just for the church services. You can praise the Lord anywhere – in your car, at work or at home. Psalms 34:1 states: I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Praise can be done anytime and anywhere. There’s no correct or incorrect way to do it. There is no time limit it should be done. When you have a song in your heart, it can be sung aloud or hummed. Do you know why we have praise and worship at the beginning of church service? Praise and worship “charges” the atmosphere, it prepares the heart to receive, and more importantly, it brings you closer to God. It is what I like to call “loving on God.” We all know that God loves us, and praise is another way, besides our obedience to His Word, to show God how much we love Him. Praise helps us do away with those things, sin or hardship, which so easy besets us ...

Spiritual Vitamins

Well Praise the Lord! He along is worthy of our praise! Everyone will take some kind of vitamin/supplement in their lifetime. There are vitamins for just about every area of our health life. There are vitamins for your overall health, for your eyes, joints, skin etc. You name it; it’s out there! We take these vitamins daily, faithfully. When you take the first vitamin the first day, you see no change most of the time. Over time, when taken correctly, you begin to see and feel the benefits of taking the vitamins or supplements. You begin to reap the benefits of taking them daily. Well it’s the same with the Word of God. The Word of God is our spiritual vitamins. The more you use the Word of God, the more you benefit from it. And how do we use the Word of God – by speaking it out of our mouths. And you can’t speak it out of your mouth unless you know it; and you won’t know it unless you read and study it. The more you speak out of your mouth that by the Blood and Stripes o...

I'm Back!!!!

I’m Back! It’s been awhile since last I posted, but I needed some time to “get some things” off of me. Some of you may know that my four (4) year old, Dorrien, was diagnosed with a mild speech delay about two (2) years ago. This hit me really hard because my children are a “soft” spot for me. You can do or say anything to me or anything can happen to me – I’m a pretty tough cookie, but when it comes to my kids; well, it’s hard for me. All parents want their kids to be healthy and whole in all areas of life. My husband and I are healthy people; we work out and try to eat right. I did all that my doctors told me to do during ALL of my pregnancies, and still this happened. The topic of autism has come up, but we are at a “wait and see” type deal. Dorrien is very smart and has good social skills; so they have just diagnosed him with a mild developmental delay. Well my two (2) year old son, Gianni, is going through this very same thing. He’s said a word here and there, but is...
