No Surprising God

Well if you haven’t heard yet, my husband and I are expecting another bundle of joy due September 25th of this year. I'm thinking it's a boy because I have been so sick just like with Dorrien. Most of you know that I said Dorrien was it – No more babies, and I meant it! I guess God had a different plan/idea about that for us. When I found out, I wasn’t mad or “over-joyed”, but God has placed a desire and an excitement on the inside of me for the baby. Sons and Daughters

I was up late the other night; I couldn’t sleep. So I just began to thank the Lord and told Him how much I appreciate Him – you know just loved on Him. I began to listen, and I heard that we are all children of God. We were all made/birth in His image, but we are not all sons and daughters of God. He showed me this in this illustration: A billionaire father has twelve (12) children, but only four (4) were mature enough to run the family business and would truly enjoy the benefits of the inheritance the father had for the children. These four (4) walked, talked, studied and mimicked their father so they could continue and have the success their father had and had put in place for them to have. The other eight (8) didn’t put forth the time or the effort to truly learn of or from the father. They never really cultivate the relationship with the father. Well Happy New Year!!! Another year has come and gone! We’ve had good times and not so good times. In life, the not so good times can overshadow the good times. The not so good cut us the deepest and can be louder and longer lasting than the good times. Some of us dwell of the bad much more than we do the good. The Year 2015 has definitely given us plenty of bad stuff to dwell in our country. Racial tensions are the worst I’ve seen in my 39 years of living. Trust has diminished drastically with law enforcement. Unarmed black men being killed/gunned down by those who are serve and protect. Innocent people are being murdered in what should be the safest place on Earth – A Church. The Confederate Flag being removed that represents part of this country’s history – good and bad, but neither side tries to understand the other’s point of view. To See His Face

You know, this life can deal us an affair hand. It can seem so unfair even to us that believe. As some of you know we recently moved from Virginia to Georgia. I loved Virginia, and I didn’t want to move. This move seems to be nothing but problems. I registered the kids for school, and Dorrien has had a hard time adjusting. No matter what we do, it’s seems like we can’t get ahead. I had to take Dorrien to the emergency room, and I recently found out that I have an iron deficiency – low iron count. Sometimes I just don’t understand why things happen to me. I do understand that time and chance happen to us all; that’s what the Word of God tells us – He has forewarned us. But what I don’t understand is why it’s back to back to back. It’s like I can’t catch my breath from one battle to the next. He is Not a Man

I thank God that He is not a mere man - that He is God and doesn't act like man. He is not a mere man that He will lie - everything He has said in His Word He will do. He is faithful that promises. His mercies are new every morning and His grace is sufficient for us. He loves us unconditionally, and when we sincerely ask for forgiveness, He forgives us. The Living Water is talking about forgiveness. How often we should forgive the same person? Jesus respond by saying seventy times seven (70 x 7 =490). And He's not talking about over the course of your life, but within a day. Now, I have not arrived in this area of my Christian walk. I still have alot of work that needs to be done. I have the "I forgive, but don't forget" syndrome. Usually when someone has wronged me, I just "feed that person with a long handled spoon" - meaning that I just don't interact with them as much.
