Are You Growing/Maturing in Christ Jesus?

I will bless the Lord at all times. I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. I am so blessed to be a child of God, a daughter of the Most High. Jesus is definitely the reason for the season, and we as Christians should strive to be just like Him. He is the ultimate role model. As I look back on this year, I had some highs and some lows, good times and bad. But with all the trials and tribulations I had to go through, I came out victorious.

Looking back I can see some growth personally and spiritually, and this should be happening with us all; we should be able to see some growth even if it is very little. We should all be improving in some area(s). Hebrews 6:1-6 states:

1 Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death,[a] and of faith in God, 2 instruction about cleansing rites,[b] the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And God permitting, we will do so. 4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen[c] away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

Now I still have a long way to go, but I have long since made up my mind that I am going all the way with Jesus – to put it plainly – I’m not perfect. I am not letting anyone or any situation hinder my race. I am keeping my eyes on the prize that I will receive when Jesus comes, and Oh what a day that will be. I will admit that I didn’t always start strong in these trials and tribulations, but I came through standing on the Word of God. 1 Peter 5:6-11 states:

6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power forever and ever. Amen.

My pastor has been teaching on saying what God’s Word says concerning ALL of our situations. This is the success of my growth. I have learned, for the most part – still growing, to say what God says. Even when I've said things contrary to the Word, the Holy Spirit(or my mother) would correct me, and I would go back and ask God to forgive and speak the Word of God. Sometime I get to talking like a fool, not saying what God already said who I am, what I can do, and what I can have. But I love correction in my life – I love the correction of God. You can do the same too – ask for forgiveness when you talk like a fool – not saying what God said – and begin to say what He has already said. God is no respecter of persons. We all have an opportunity for growth – to do better, but I think some are just not willing to put for the effort to mature. We don’t want to take the time to read the Word of God or to pray, not even the time to listen. But we expect for God to bestow upon us great knowledge and revelation of His Word, to use us, when all we have to do is crack open a book. Now-a-days the Word of God is right at our finger tips with daily devotional scriptures through email, you can download a Bible app on your smartphone or you can go to different sites where you can read or even listen to the Bible. There is no excuse for us not maturing in Christ Jesus. We have everything that we need to mature. So why aren't some taking the time to do this; it is so simple, but we somehow make it so hard.

Take the time to look back on this year to see if you have improved, grown or matured. If you have, good – continue to grow. If not don’t worry, Jesus hasn’t come back yet. You still have time, how much time – no one knows. Today is the day for salvation. Today is the day to make Jesus Lord; and when you do this, you can go forward and grow; you can be ready to receive that prize we will receive when He comes back for us.

YOU Pray Too!

Do you understand how important it is for you to pray for your thing? In other words, you should pray for that which you want God to do for you. Now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting others to pray in agreement with you, but you have to pray too. Some many times people want you to pray for their thing, pull their need in for them, and they do not even pray themselves. The Word of God tells us in Matthew 9:29 – according to your faith, let it be done unto you. Jesus was telling this to the blind men, but it is the same for us as well. All things are possible to those who believe. It’s according to YOUR faith, belief that when you pray the Word of God will come to pass, not the pastor’s, not the evangelist, not momma and daddy’s faith – YOUR FAITH! If you can believe that when you pray God’s Word and receive it, it will come to pass – it be done unto you. Yes, you can ask the pastor, the evangelist, momma, and daddy to add their faith to yours. The Word of God also tells us that where two agree on ANYTHING, it will be done unto them by the Father in Heaven. So before you pick up the phone, go to the altar, post on facebook or twitter, inquire of the Lord yourself – you pray too.

It states in Matthew 18:19 that where two agree on anything it shall be done unto them by the Father in Heaven; this is so true in marriage. Here you have two (2) people that are reaching, desiring the same goals for their marriage, family, careers etc. Husbands and wives can get in agreement on things concerning their marriage, children, household and pull in everything, ANYTHING! I always tell my husband ‘When we are on the same page, we are unstoppable!’ It is so true! It’s the same in prayer; when the husband and wife decide to get in agreement and stand of the Word of God, they can bring that which they ask of God into the land of the living!

So many times there’s only one (1) person in the house praying for everything – not that God can’t or won’t answer his/her prayer alone. But the “non-prayer” usually is thinking “When my husband is praying or my wife if praying, and God’s going to answer their prayer concerning OUR situation.’ As husbands and wives, we are one (1). It’s like a business partnership; each has to do their part. One doesn’t want to pray, but wants the benefits/results of the answered prayer. “WE” not just one should be praying concerning it.

So you pray too! Get agreement for that which you are praying for and standing on God’s Word – there’s nothing wrong with that. Husbands and wives get in there and get in agreement on God’s Word concerning ANY situation, and it will be done unto you by YOUR Father in Heaven! Let God see YOUR faith in that Word YOU are praying! God is moved by our FAITH! If you are not praying and are expecting others to bring YOUR thing in for you, well don’t get mad when God does it for your agreeing partner, especially when you are not praying yourself. So get in there, and pray too!

Arrival of Gianni w/God's Grace



Well, the newest and very last addtion to the LPC's (Loud Pirozzi Clan) arrived on September 9, 2011. I went into the hospital around 6:00 AM and had Gianni at 10:52 AM - WOW! Praise God. I had an awesome birth experience which made up for the last one. Everything went just as I hoped it would; as a matter of fact, Gianni was trying to come on his own. Dr. Russell did an AWESOME job in delivery & the nurses in delivery were kind, compassionate & fun. It really was a wonderful experience.

But during this pregnancy, I dealt with alittle depression (I don't know where they was coming from). Even on my worst days, I don't let thing "keep" me down; it might come, but it never stayed like this. I wasn't reading or praying as I should, and I had a really bad attitude (pregnant horomones included). None of my other pregnancies did I feel this way. I mean, I know what's at stake here. I know that Jesus can come back any day now. I know, as I have told all of you, that I need to be ready when He comes. When you do not stay in the Word of God, you'll do less of the Word of God. We have to always keep the Word before us so that we can do the Word of God. But this feeling had attached itself to me, and it was somewhat hard to get rid of. But with much prayer and confession of the Word of God, I pulled through. I said all this to show you that we serve an Awesome God, a Faithful & Loyal God. He loves us so much. Because I wasn't doing what I know to do, I was in sin. The Word of God tells us 'For those who know to do good, and does it not; to him it becomes sin(James 4:17). Reading, studying and praying the Word of God is good, and it is good for me, and I know this but wasn't doing it.

Even though all this was going on, God was still faithful. He extended grace to me for a good birth experience. He knew how important it was for me to have a good experience. While I was in my hospital room alone, I thanked the Lord for my good experience, and that Gianni was healthy and whole and so was I. All I could hear was 'That's my Grace.' I cried and thanked him some more. I wasn't doing what I was suppose to do according to His Word, but He was still there, He still allowed me to have a good birthing experience when He didn't have to. Alot of time we think that God should do good unto us all the times. When we are not doing the Word of God, we come from under the covering of God's Hand. Can He still bless us when we are not doing His Word? YES! But does He have to? NO! He knows some people are not going to do His Word no matter what. But He knows the heart of every man, woman and child; He knows those who have grace and mercy extended to them, and they will turn and repent and return unto Him. He knows those that belong to Him.

No matter what is going on in your life, keep pressing through to God. Your answer, your Breakthough is closer than you think. Don't give up! With God on your side, there is nothing too hard or impossible to accomplish! Victory can be and will be yours if you'll just hold on. Don't continue in your disobidience or you will frustrate the grace of God - it will not be there for you if you continue in your sin. God knows when you "repent" if you really mean it or not. You can not fool God! But if you repent and really mean it God Grace is there for you.

Spirit of the Living God

Good Morning:

Last night I had this song in spirit. First I began to hum it; before long I was singing the words out of mouth. As I began to sing this song out loud, I began to feel some of the heaviness that had been on me melt away. The song goes like this:

Spirit of the Living God, We affirm your presence here.
Spirit of the Living God, We affirm your power here.
To Heal us, and to deliver us
To Fill us, and to change us
Spirit of God

I made the song personal to me; instead of "we", I put "I" - replace "us" with "me".

The Spirit of God is all around us whether we fell Him or not - He is there. The Spirit of the Living God does have the power to heal us of any and ALL sickness, diseases, irritations or discomforts. He has the power to deliver us from any problem or situation we will ever face. He has the power to fill us with that power, and with peace, joy and happiness God wants for all of us. He has the POWER to change us and those in our lives and our situations. He is the "action" the "doer", the "bringer about of results" behind the Word of God. You speak the Word of God all you want, but if there is no Power from the Helper they are just empty words.

Maybe this is just for me; maybe it's for someone else to be reminded that this POWER of the Spirit of our Living God is here for us, and can change any and everything and anyone to line up with the Word of God - His Will for our lives. I hope this blesses you as it did me.

I will be posting alittle here and there. I go into the hospital on September 8, 2011 if Mr. Gianni doesn't decide to come alittle early.

Be blessed of the Lord, and remember that Jesus loves you, and so do I.

Casting Down Imagination/Bad/Negative Thoughts

Now I know I'm the only one in the world that does this - get carried away with thoughts. Thank God I've learn to cast those negative thoughts down, and that I have authority to call those things to be not as though there were. I no longer get carried away with my thoughts. I immediately cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). I think on whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things (Philipians 4:8). I have the mind of Christ Jesus. I clothe myself with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh (Romans 13:14). This is my confession.

Now I will say that I have gotten better. Before if there was a "potential problem", I would run every scenario of what could happen, good or bad. The bad thoughts somehow got the most attention. It was to me a defense against hurt and disappointment. I'm not saying you shouldn't think things through, but don't let a negative thought consume you where it is all that you think about; cast it down an speak the Word of God. Sometimes we "give ear", time and way too much attention to a thought that it becomes reality to us, and we began to act on it. Proverbs 4:23 states that we are to keep/guard our hearts with all diligence; for out of it springs the issues of life. In other words, your thoughts will determine your actions. At one time in my life, I had myself convinced that I was the "black sheep" of the family. The enemy and myself had me convinced of this, and nothing could have been further from the truth. I let that thought be planted in my heart, and I distanced myself from my family. I did not keep/guard my heart with all diligence. I should have immediately cast that thought down. This is how relationships are destroyed, like marriages. One spouse gets in their head/heart that the other doesn't love them, or that they are not getting what they need in the marriage. They might not immediately act on those thoughts, but they, the thoughts, are continually there. The spouse continues to allow these thoughts to come in, and before long they begin to seek that which they think they do not have. Now there are situations where spouses are not "playing" their roles, and there are things lacking; that's a whole different blog post - that's where communication come in to play - another blog post. My mom always said 'If you think too long, you'll think wrong.' Cast them down!

Maybe you think 'I'll never get through this problem.' We Christians know things are going to happen, and that in Jesus we can have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! For Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33). Or maybe you think 'I'm going to get fired from my job.' We Christians are tithers; the windows of Heaven are open, and God is pouring us out blessing we have not room enough to receive - blessed to be a blessing. Not only that, but God is rebuking the devourer for our sake. The enemy can not steal our joy, happiness, health, finance - you name it! WE as children of God, Christians, tithers are blessed people. Only with our eyes shall we behold and see the reward of the wicked ourselves inaccessible - can't touch this! It's a blessing to have a job, amen! It's a blessing to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, it's a blessing to know that you can cast every thought down that exalt itself against the knowledge of Christ, it's a blessing to know that you have the authority to call those things to be not as though they are, it's a blessing to know that you the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus, it's a blessing to know that you are strong in the Lord Jesus and in the power of His might.

Those of this world don't have these blessing, but we Christians do. They might have something that looks like the blessings of the Lord, but they are not lasting. We do not have to "give ear" to the bad/negative thoughts; we can cast them down and speak the Word of God. There's a Word for everything we go through or will ever face in life. My husband, family and friends love me; I am lovable. By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed and every member of my household. I'm the righteousness of God. I am an over comer. I'm on top and not beneath. I put on the Lord Jesus Christ everyday and make no provision for the flesh/carnal mind/thinking, to fulfill its lust (Romans 13:14). Practice casting down bad thoughts; practice makes perfect! Even when you've realized you've "given ear" - repent and speak the Word of God. If what you are thinking about does not line up with or fall into a category of Philipians 4:8 - CAST IT DOWN!

Remember Who You Are in Christ Jesus

Good Morning,

HBO was showing an animated movie I love watching with my kids call Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmaron. The music for the movie is written and composed by an artist name Bryant Adams, and there’s a song on the soundtrack of the movie called Sound the Bugle. The lyrics go something like this…

"Sound The Bugle"

Sound the bugle now - play it just for me
As the seasons change - remember how I used to be
Now I can't go on - I can't even start

I'm a soldier - wounded so I must give up the fight

I love this song. Sometimes its small things like a song from an animated children’s movie that can bring us back where we should be. As the song says as the seasons change – we have good times and we have bad times; it rains on the just and the unjust alike. Even through the bad times we should remember who we are in Christ Jesus. I’ve had several things that have transpired over the last month and half – I mean just one thing after another. Now I’ll blame some of it on the pregnant hormones, but I am stronger than what I have been acting this last month and a half. I mean the things that had been going on, the distractions, had my spiritual life at a snail’s pace – that’s not me. As Christians we have to learn to fight the good fight of faith at all times (I'm talking to myself too). This is why it is so important to do your confessions everyday; so that when a battle arises you have ammunition (The Word of God) to fight! We are soldiers in the army of the Lord, and sometimes we get wounded by the things that we endure. We want to give up and cave – we slow down – I did. I love the love Lord with all my heart, but I let my children getting sick, wrong thinking, unexpected financial situations distract me; I Know BETTER! For some reason it seemed to “hit me hard”. It was like I couldn’t shake this spirit of depression that was trying to take over. It kinda had me immobile. I told my pastor what was going on, and I kept saying ‘I’m stronger than this in the Lord. Why does it feel so hard to shake this?’ I remembered that the devil doesn’t like me; in fact, he hates me. Anyone that is speaking truth (The Word), winning the lost, and living their life for Christ Jesus – The devil hates you. I hope that when you think of me that you say a little prayer; but even more so, I hope that you are praying for your pastors and the leaders of your church. The devil hates them. If they are living their life for Christ and preaching the uncompromising Word of God – the devils hates them! If the enemy can strike the head or close to the head, he can cause some to be weaken enough to deceive them.

All while I was going through this, I could hear the Holy Spirit speaking to me. Sometimes I would start to pray in the spirit, and the next minute I wasn’t. Then I would think ‘Wasn’t I praying?’ But He was there all the time, never left me, and never gave up on me. Like the song says ‘From on High, somewhere in the distance, there’s a Voice that calls, Remember who you are!’ How do we remember who we are in Christ Jesus? By making the confessions of the Word of God. I am the righteousness in God through Christ Jesus. I am a daughter of the Most High God. I am blessed in the city, and I am blessed in the country. I am an over comer! My God always causes me to triumph. Jesus lives big in me, He is for me and my family and nothing and no one can successfully be against us. He is on MY side, I do not have to fear, what can man do to me! He supplies ALL of my needs according to HIS RICHES and GLORY through Christ Jesus. This is how we remember who we are – speak it out of your mouth – EVERYDAY! It has to be done EVERYDAY! You do not know when a battle will arise, but you can be ready. We are soldiers in the army of the Lord, and must fight the good fight of faith. The enemy wants to distract you and have you where you are thinking wrong and not speaking the Word of God. Do not be deceived! Now is not the time to get weary, now is not the time to be distracted, and now is not the time to have you thoughts out of line with the Word of God. The devil is bidding for your soul. Do not let him win. I refuse to let him win! The devil is a liar and a defeated foe where we Pirozzi's are concerned. Stay in the Word of God; keep it ever before you so that you can remember who you are in Christ Jesus.

Pray for your pastor(s), ministers – youth, children, and counselors - of your church. They are tempted just like you and me. Pastors are tempted to not preach the entire Word of God for fear they might offend some. Please offend me, and keep me out of hell. Pray that God gives them wisdom and strength to live the Word of God. People of the world don’t come in the church because they see ministers and some of us lay-people living just like them. We cannot do this. It is time for us to get serious about the things of God, or we will find ourselves left behind.

You Better Know How to Pray!

I can’t say enough how thankful I am to have Jesus as my Lord and Savior. There is so much going on in the world, and our individual lives. I can truly say that when trials and tribulations come, and I begin to feel the pressure around me, I know can pray and have peace concerning whatever may be going on. We’ve already been warned in the Word of God that trials and tribulation would come (John 16:33). So there is should be no surprises that hard time will come. This is why it is so important to know the Word of God so we can pray the Word. God hastens to perform His Word. I am so glad my mom took us to church and prayer services. I learned to develop my prayer life, my faith and my confident trust in God. Now this did not happen overnight - in fact it took years; maybe I was slow. I’m not saying that I don’t see or feel the things that are going on around me. I continue to remind myself that God is in control, that God’s Word works when I work it, that I am the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. I win!

There is an enemy out there that is roaming around seeking whom he can devour (1 Peter 5:8). You better know how to pray. The enemy, the devil, has always attached families, but even the more so now – you better know how to pray! Cover your spouse and child(ren) in prayer everyday – as much as you can. The enemy is subtle, hard to detect, in his tactics. He’ll present himself as needy, helpless or as a child of the light. Matthew 10:16 states:

Behold, I am sending you out like sheep in the midst of wolves; be [a]wary and wise as serpents, and be innocent (harmless, guileless, and [b]without falsity) as doves.

Before you or your family knows it you’ll be caught up in something you weren’t intending. You better know how to pray! The price of food, services and gas are increasing, but wages are staying pretty much the same – you better know how to pray! I don’t do a lot of unnecessary driving, but I am doing all I know to do watch wasting gas or food. Gas is ridiculous, but we all need it. I am not one for eating leftovers, but leftovers are becoming my favorite (smile). There is so much uncertainty in the world. These are indeed perilous times we are living in, but the Word has already informed us of these things (2 Timothy 3:1-3). Even with all these things going on, one thing remains the same – God! God never changes. He is the same today as He was yesterday (Hebrew 13:8). He is the only constant in our lives. People and jobs will come and go; food, service and gas will probably continue to increase, but God is the same, and He is or should be our ONLY source of supply. I thought God was my only source of supply at one time until there was no one working in my household. We looked more to that paycheck than we did to God – it’s the truth. Once I realized this, I changed that real quick. I prayed, studied the Word, and paid my tithes. It does rain of the just and the unjust alike, but the difference in the just and the unjust is that the just has the Word of God. We can pray and release our faith, standing on the Word of God, and see our situation change for the better. The just can pray during trials and tribulation and have peace. Isaiah 32:17 states:

And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever

We are the righteousness in God through Christ Jesus, and the effect of our righteousness is peace. We can have peace in the midst of the storm. But if you don’t know this passage of the Word of God, then you wouldn’t know to confess/pray this over you and your family. This is why it is so important that you study the Word of God for yourself at home in your own private time. It’s good to take your Bibles to church and read alone with the pastor, but that’s not enough – ouch hallelujah (it’s difficult for me to take notes like I use to because there’s a little person turning my pages). But this is the difference between the just and the unjust. Prayer is not hoping and a wishing. Prayer is a confident trust that the Word of God you’re confessing and proclaiming will come to pass; that God is indeed who the Word says that He is, and He can do the things the Word says He can do. And you have to settle in your heart that God can and will perform His Word for you. Sometimes we pray for other people stuff better than we do our own, not that you would be selfish, but that we sometimes believe that God would do it for someone else before He does it for us. He is no respecter of persons; if He did it for one, He can and will do it for you, but YOU have to believe it!

Now more than ever we need to make sure our relationship with Jesus is right. We must stop “playing church”, and began to do the Word of God. There are going to be good people who go to church every time the doors are open that are going to be left behind. It will be a sad day indeed. Good people go to church, but they kind-of-sort of go through life never having a relationship with Jesus. Going to church doesn’t mean you have a relationship with Jesus. They “know of” Him – the stories of healing, miracles and of His works, but they just never took the time to get to know Him. They never really strive to be like Him – saying what He said and doing what He did. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 states:

There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

Now is not the time to get lax – I’m talking to myself. Things are happening all around us that are prophesy filled to bring about the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While we are waiting, lets get ready/prepare, and we all better know or learn how to pray and pray the Word of God.

True Prosperity

A lot of people think that “true prosperity” is having all the money, the fancy house, nice car, spouse, the child(ren) and successful career. All of these things are good and desirable things; I want them too. Psalms 84:11 says that no good thing will He withhold from those who walk upright before Him. God wants His Sons and Daughters to prosper. He doesn’t want us to be poor like some people believe. God even gives us the desires of hearts. Who desires to be poor? No one! There will never be a time that you ask God for something, that is expensive or nice, that He will ask you to ask for something lesser. We are the King’s kids. Remember that God knows us through-n-through. I do not believe that He will give us anything that will turn us into an undesirable son or daughter. Sometimes some people get things, and they turn into a whole different person. God knows the intent of ever heart; He knows our motives, and I don’t believe that He will give a son or daughter something that He knows will turn them off the path of Christ. And then again, He might just let you have the thing you request so that you can see yourself; so that you can really see if the love of God dwells in you. Who can know the mind of God? – No one! Now all of this is not to say that God is a suga-daddy, nor should we treat Him as such. Always pray the Word of God, and trust that He can and will bring it to past – in the land of the living. 3 John 1:2 says that He desires that we prosper and be in health, even as our souls prosper. The more we prosper or renew our minds/souls to the Word of God, the more we prosper. A really prosperous soul equals a really prosperous reality/life in Christ Jesus, and on top of all this you will be in good health – talk about a win-win situation. But the same goes for the opposite of this. A poorly prosperous soul equals a poorly prosperous reality/life in Christ Jesus. We have to rightly divid the Word of God. If the Word of God tells us to do a “thing”, and you will get a certain result, then doing the opposite of the Word of God gets you the opposite result. Example: Ask and you shall receive. Don’t ask, and you shall not receive - Simple enough.

Having true prosperity, having the spiritual as well as the material, is having the Word of God that you confess and believe (releasing your faith) manifested in your life. This is true prosperity. Without the Word manifested, you can have all the money, houses, cars etc, but none of them can produce true happiness, healing, salvation – a ticket to Heaven. We are not whole; we cannot be whole without God in our lives. People try to fill the void in life with all kinds of things in this world, when all they need is Jesus. I know; I’ve been there. God is everything that we need. Everything can be found in Him. When we die or Jesus calls us up hither, none of these worldly, earthly things will matter. There is an answer for every situation that can arise in our lives. Being able to speak the Word of God and have it manifested here in the land of the living – that’s awesome. How wonderful would life be??? This is how it should be for the righteous. We have the Word of God, we know it, but why aren’t we seeing the Word manifested? It could be a lack of faith, doubt that God will perform His Word for us, unfinished business of God, holding grudges. When we have not done what God has instructed us to do in His Word or what he has spoken for us to do, we block our blessing(s) being manifested. When we’re not tithing, walking in love, holding grudges, lying, cheating – the list goes on- we the righteous hinder our blessings.

Examine yourself before you bring you need, desire, request before God. Make sure there is nothing hindering your prayers, your true prosperity – God manifested Word in your life.

No Surprising God

Well if you haven’t heard yet, my husband and I are expecting another bundle of joy due September 25th of this year. I'm thinking it's a boy because I have been so sick just like with Dorrien. Most of you know that I said Dorrien was it – No more babies, and I meant it! I guess God had a different plan/idea about that for us. When I found out, I wasn’t mad or “over-joyed”, but God has placed a desire and an excitement on the inside of me for the baby. Yeah, it would seem that this has interrupted some plans of mine and my husband, but here we are. I will say that I did not want to be pregnant; it’s just the truth. But I keep reminding myself that there is nothing that will happen in my life that God doesn’t already know will happen. He knows everything about me; He even knows the number of hairs on my head (Matt 10:32). He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. There is nothing that escapes the eyes of the God (Job 34:21).

The Holy Spirit reminded that nothing surprises God; He already knows. This also showed me that God is in control. Proverbs 19:21 states:

Many plans are in a man's mind, but it is the Lord's purpose for him that will stand.

Now my husband and I could gotten bent-out-of-shape about this, but I believe because we have decided to have a good attitude about this God is going to bless us. In every surprising or unexpected situation or experience that we will encounter in this life, we have a CHOICE. We can be upset and depressed, or we can walk in the joy of our Lord and Savior Jesus and have peace and happiness. It is completely our choice. God has given us “free will”; we get to choose. Children are blessing, and we have decided to enjoy this blessing. Proverbs 15:13 states:

A glad heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.

Our spirits are not broken. Just the other day my husband was saying how excited he was getting about the baby. When I told my husband we were pregnant, you’d thought I was speaking a foreign language. Every now-and-then he’ll say ‘I can’t believe we are pregnant.’ I have been pleading the Blood of Jesus over my womb and the baby, speaking that he/she is being marvelously and wondrously formed in my womb. I’ve been praying that he/she is developing and everything on the inside is developing normally and already operates at 100% capacity. This is what I did for my other pregnancies. I go on www.babiesonline.com every week to see how the baby should be developing and it is so exciting. Didn’t think I would feel this way about having another baby. I mean, my husband would sometimes “joke” about us having another baby, and I would about get “spittin fire” mad – don’t play.

Now if I were still in this world, I would be upset; my spirit would be crushed. But I’ve long since put my hand in the hand of the Man with my master plan. I know that nothing I go through, good or bad, will ever surprise God. It gives me peace to know that God sees me, and He always got me. There is nothing we go through, nowhere we can go that God doesn’t know, or sees us; and in every situation He’s got the answer of peace, joy, love, deliverance, healing – EVERYTHING. There is nothing impossible for Him to those who believe. He is in control, and His promises are yes and amen (2 Corth. 1:20).

Things we go through and experience might be a surprise to us - might throw a "monkey-wrench" in our plans, but it never surprises God. He is all knowing. When you are "hit" with a surprise or unexpected experience, take the time to settle down and remember 'God knew this was going to happen; now let me see what His Word says about this'and make the CHOICE to rejoice despite the situation. Fake it until you make it. Sometimes you've got to talk to yourself "The joy of the Lord is my strength" or "By the stripes of Jesus I am healed" or "Because I am saved my whole household is saved". You got the keep speaking it even when you don't feel like, even when you don't see the change - keep saying it until the Word is all you will say about that situation. Everytime the enemy starts talking to you, telling you that you're depressed, your loved ones will never walk according to God's Will for their lives or telling you that you are sick and to just give in to it. NO! SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD! Speak it until that's all you will say concerning your situation. Someone says 'Girl you sound so sick.' Your response should be 'Oh, but by the stripes of Jesus I am the healed, and I have already received my healing.' Don't be scared! We win in Jesus'name! Now act like you've already won!

Run to God!

When I was growing up, I remembered that if anyone ever messed with me, they were messing with my big sister too. She might whip upon me, but no one else could. All I had to do is tell her somebody was messing with me, and that person was dealt with; no more problems with that particular person. This is how I sometimes dealt with my early childhood problems – tell big sister or brother; or better yet, tell momma.

Now that I am an adult, maturing in Christ every day, increasing from glory to glory, I know that I can run to King Jesus. I know and understand that it’s not necessarily the person who has come up against me, but the principalities, powers, rulers of darkness in high places, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Those who do not belong to Jesus belong to Satan; it’s just that black and white – either you are saved or you are not. When one has not been reconciled unto God through Christ Jesus, they can be used to do the work of the enemy. Matthew 12:33-39 explains this well:

Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the Day of Judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Then some of the Pharisees and teachers of the law said to him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.” He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.


While Jesus was teaching, some of the Pharisees were listening and asked for a sign. Jesus called them a wicked and adulterous generation. These were “holy men”. There are some who say “Lord, lord”, but do not truly belong to Him (Titus 1:16). There are some, sad to say, behind the pulpit that do not know Jesus; they “know of Him”, but do not truly know Him. Some who seem to be righteous can be used by Satan/the devil because they have a form of godliness but deny the power (2 Timothy 3:2-5). So it’s not necessarily the person themselves, but they have allowed the enemy, Satan/the devil, to use them. It can be someone close to you or someone you hardly know. There will be some that will come up against you, and will think they are doing a good work. The enemy is doing all he can to distract us from what is important – cultivating our relationship with Jesus. He is coming back, and if the enemy/the devil can keep you in fear, upset, depressed/oppressed – if he can bring doubt and despair into your life, he can keep you away from God/The Word. In good times and in bad, we need to keep our eyes on the Lord/The Word of God.

If we can keep our eyes on the Lord, we will not faint! Keep saying ONLY what the Word of God says concerning your situation. Victory in ours in Jesus’ Name! Plead the Blood of Jesus over your situation, family, property – everything! There is Power in the Blood of Jesus. When you are walking upright before God, He will cause even your enemies to be at peace with you (Proverbs 16:6-8). There are those who will not act in integrity with you. When people do not act with integrity towards you, you can run to God the Father. Those who have spoken evil/bad of you and/or have wronged you, will fall in the trap they have set for your feet themselves (Psalms 57:6, Proverbs 21:18, Proverbs 26:27).

Run to God and dwell in the secret place of the Most High. WE need to read and confess Psalms 91 everyday. You say of the Lord, He is your refuge and your fortress; He is your God in whom you trust. The Amplified version of this say “Which NO foe can withstand” – No one will ever be greater or more powerful than the God I serve – NO ONE! Momma, daddy, sister, brother,wife or hubby will never be able to deliver all the time or like God can. Don’t put your trust in man – human beings; put your trust in the Lord. Run to God. The battle is not yours; it’s the Lords.

Priorities

This New Year we have made New Year’s resolutions/commitments, but I want to give you something to think about. So many times when we make these new commitments, we have them “out of order”. This is not to say that things we commit to do aren’t good things, but that there are more important things to consider in this time we are living. Here is how I believe we should prioritize:

1. God/Kingdom of God
2. If Married, your spouse
3. If child(ren), then the kids
4. Careers/Professions
5. Whatever other hobbies or commitments

Always put Jesus, God the Son - made flesh, first! He is the only way we can be reconciled unto the Father. He is the only way to Heaven. In Him we find everything we need – life, joy/happiness, peace, health, and richness in every area of life – unconditional love. He knows what we were and what we were doing even before we asked Him into our hearts, yet He still loved us anyway. Cultivating our relationship with Jesus should be our number one priority. We should desire to go from glory to glory in Him. And as we mature, we should do the work of the Kingdom of God – preparing ourselves and everyone else to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ. Whether we die or we are here for the Rapture, the most important thing you can do in this life is decide to live your life for Christ. Getting married, having children, having a successful career or business, losing weight, whatever is good, and all who desire to have these things can have them. But none of these things can get you to Heaven. You can have all these things and more and still spend eternity in Hell – the place no one wants to go, but some are not willing to do what it takes to get there – accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior and walk according to the Word of God.

If you are married, then your spouse should be the next commitment on your list. Husbands, you are to love your wives as yourselves. If you wouldn’t want anything said or done to you, then you shouldn’t say or do them to your wife. Husbands are to dwell with their wives according to knowledge, which means husband get to know your wives. Wives, we too should dwell with our husbands according to knowledge. You know he likes watching football with no interruptions, so wait until a commercial – unless it’s about the game or an emergency. Husbands are to love their wives even as Christ loves the Church. This goes for wives too. Wives, we are to love, honor, respect, prefer our husbands. We are to encourage each other/build them up, not tear them down. We, husbands and wives, are to submit ourselves one unto another not depriving each other of physical and emotional needs. We get so busy with our everyday lives that we forget to “check in” with our spouse, our friend. We forget to “fill” our spouse. Then when someone else begins to give then attention, someone else begins to “fill” them; it opens a door for the enemy to come into our marriages. When you decide to put Jesus first, you’ll have a better marriage relationship; I know this from experience; He will show you how to love one another - getting your eyes off yourself and onto your spouse – I was spoiled and use to having my way. God is Love, and He lives big on the inside of us which means that the Love of God is on the inside of us. Our natural love for our spouse plus the Love of God in us helps us to deal with them when they are having a bad day, despite what they do or say, and to stay and fight! We should not allow anyone or anything to put asunder that which God has joined together. God joins husbands and wives together for better or worse, in sickness and in health, till deaths do they part. God hates divorce and so should we. As a matter of fact we should hate and detest everything that God hates and detests.

Next should be our children and then our careers. Children are a blessing, and should enhance our family relationship. They should not take up all of our time where we don’t have time or don’t feel like spending time with our spouse. We understand that we are not going to have all the time in the world like we use too, but we make sure that we spend with our spouse. Children should not put a burden on your marriage; I kind of fell into this. Every mother wants to be a good mom, but I was putting more time and attention into my children, and I wasn’t giving my husband the time that he deserved and needed. The Holy Spirit helped and is still teaching me balance in this area. Mothers are not only moms, but we are nurses, house cleaners, teachers, disciplinarians, and short order cooks. Moms have a lot to do; so hubbies, get in there and get involved if you’re not already; especially if the wife also works. It not only the “woman’s job” to raise the kids, but you have a part to play as well. And if there are women out there that are not nurses, teachers etc to their children, then………………. Well……………. Get in there!

Then we have our careers. We all want to be the best that we can, but as we have seen in the economy, you can have a profession one day and not the next. We should not put our hope/trust in our profession/careers or man, but only in God. He supplies all of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. This is yet another reason to put Jesus first. No matter what type of work you do or how much money you make, as long as you got King Jesus first, all will be well. He takes care of us in the good times and in bad times. I know this from experience. Your spouse loves you (or should love you) no matter what work/profession/career you have, and your children will always be your children. As long as you are willing to work or willing to contribute to the family in some manner agreed upon, there’s nothing left but love and support. Family loves you no matter what!

Jesus, God the Son - made flesh, is the one, true constant we have in our lives. He is the same today as He was yesterday. Spouses may leave you, children will eventually leave the “nest”, and careers/professions will come and go, but God will NEVER leave you nor forsake you; He is with you everywhere you go. Though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you do not have to fear any evil. This is why He should be number one. When you have God first, you have the peace that surpasses all understanding – knowing He is who He says He is, and that He can do what He says He can do! Everything in our lives here on this earth is subject to change, but God is the only one that remains the same!
