To See His Face

You know, this life can deal us an affair hand. It can seem so unfair even to us that believe. As some of you know we recently moved from Virginia to Georgia. I loved Virginia, and I didn’t want to move. This move seems to be nothing but problems. I registered the kids for school, and Dorrien has had a hard time adjusting. No matter what we do, it’s seems like we can’t get ahead. I had to take Dorrien to the emergency room, and I recently found out that I have an iron deficiency – low iron count. Sometimes I just don’t understand why things happen to me. I do understand that time and chance happen to us all; that’s what the Word of God tells us – He has forewarned us. But what I don’t understand is why it’s back to back to back. It’s like I can’t catch my breath from one battle to the next. It’s like as soon as I bandage wounds from one fight another one has already started.

Today, I got the chance to watch this movie my mom said I should check out months ago. I tried to watch it, but something got my attention, and I wasn’t able to finish it, but today I did. The movie is called “Heaven is For Real”. Now, it’s not that I ever thought Heaven wasn’t real or Hell for that matter. I believe that Jesus will return, and we all will either go to Heaven or to Hell, but it wasn’t the “subject” of Heaven or Hell being fake or real that touched my heart in this movie. I wasn’t concerned if the boy’s accounts about seeing Heaven were real or unreal. It was the very end of the movie that touched my heart. During the movie, the boy tried to describe what Jesus looked like, but said it was hard for him to explain. He talked about Jesus having “light eyes…. Bluish/green eyes”. But when it came to the very end, where the girl who had a similar experience as the boy, and they showed the painting of what Jesus looked like; all I could say as tears streamed down my face was “I just want to see You”. I thought about all the unfairness life is dealing me, all the things I don’t understand, and then looking at that painting, whether real or unreal, I knew that if I hold on I would be able to see His face. This life is not the end for me, and these things that I am going through, they too will pass. For the things I see and feel today are temporal; they are subject to change. And then I heard a song that we sang in church “I Worship You”. There’s a part that say “When all things that surrounds become shadow in the light of You.” All these unfair things that are going on in my life; they do become shadow in the light of who Jesus is to me. Though time and chance happens to us all; I will come through Victoriously. Though it rains on the just and the unjust alike, I will let Jesus be my umbrella to keep me dry through the storms of my life. “I Worship You” goes like this:

When I look into Your Holiness, When I gaze into Your loveliness, When all things that surround, Become shadows in the light of You.

When I've found the joy of reaching Your heart, When my will becomes enthralled in Your love, When all things that surround Become shadows in the light of You.

Don’t let the unfair things that surround you block out the light and love of Jesus. This life is not it for us. In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, we will hear “Come up hither”, and these things will never matter again. We just have to hold, and not become weary in our well doing. The joy of the Lord is MY strength. I am strong in my Lord and in the Power of His Might! I am MORE than a conqueror in Him through Christ Jesus! No Weapon formed against me shall prosper, and EVERY tongue that rises up against me shall be proven wrong in Jesus’ name. On hold with me, and don’t let Go! This is not the end for us for the things we see are temporal; they are subject to change, and change for the better!

Did you put on your armor today???

Be Encouraged Today!!!

Remember there's a sinner's prayer on this site. If you have back-slid or haven't tasted and seen that the Lord is Good, say this prayer. You don't have to be in a church building to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. There is a moment that will happen, and it will happen in a twinkling of an eye (as fast as you can blink), and those who have confessed Jesus as Lord and have walked according to the Word of God will be raptured up to be with Him forever and ever. Yes, it sounds too fantastical to be real, but don't take the chance that it's not and be left behind. So don't put this off. No one knows the hour or the day when this will take place, but it is for us to be ready when it's time to go. The first step is to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. It's Time to Maintain

Hello, Hello All: I know it seems as though I've been "A-Wall" lately, but I needed to fight some battles. I am still fighting the good fight of faith, and waiting my complete Victory in Jesus's Name. Now back to the message at hand "It's Time to Maintain". We can maintain many things in many areas. In some areas, it can be hard to maintain for many reasons. Many of you know that I love to workout. I’ve taken many classes and have done countless video workouts. The results are awesome. I looked and felt awesome too. As my life changed, in becoming a wife and stay-at-home mom, it has been somewhat difficult to maintain my workout regiment, weight loss and look of “awesome”. I still love working out, but finding the time, doing effective workout (interruption, children between legs and having the energy) has made it difficult maintain a regiment and desired weight loss. In taking the time to think about how to maintain my workout, I’ve learned that I have to make up my mind to do it every day and make the time to do it. It’s the same with maintaining a relationship with God. You have to make time to pray, make time to read and study His Word and make time to praise and worship Him. Those things that are important to us; we make time to do and to have them. You say that having a relationship with God is important, it’s a “must have” or a “need to have”; then make time to maintain your relationship with Him. I’m talking to myself too. Things have happened in my life, and I spend so much time on researching, and trying to understand and to change or fix it. We have to be able to let go and let God. Yes, it is easier said than done; trust me I know. We get stuck, and we can’t get stuck. Sometimes we get stuck on a thing and we won’t move; it’s hard for us to move forward. Standing still isn’t maintaining; it’s doing nothing, and in any relationship you have to be doing, talking and loving. There are things that are expected in all relationships, and when you know what those things are, you need to do them, and continue to do them over and over again – maintain them. And as far as our relationship with God goes, we have the Bible to know what is expected from us in our relationship with Him. Is your relationship with God as important as you think it is? How often you pray and talk with Him? How often do you read and study? Life can be hectic and challenging circumstances arise that distract us. I know your relationship with God is important, and I want to challenge you to recommit to your relationship today. Maybe you have made up your mind about serving God, or know someone who hasn't made up their mind. Keep your eyes and ears open; look at all the chaos going on in the world - all at the same time. Now is not the time be “stuck” where the Kingdom of God is concerned. Now is the time to be doing! Now is the time to recommit, make the effort to learn and know what is expected of us in our relationship with God and doing them right and over and over again - It's Time to Maintain!!!! Did you put on your armor today??? Be Encouraged Today!!! Remember there's a sinner's prayer on this site. If you have back-slid or haven't tasted and seen that the Lord is Good, say this prayer. Is God Real?

What if God isn’t real??? I’ve heard this question before, and before I go any further let me just say that I am sold that there IS a God; there is no doubt in my mind that God exist. This question was inquired along with the question “What if you are doing all this praying and believing for nothing?” When I heard this question it did not give me pause or made me ponder, but rather reminded me of way I do these things (prayer, belief and worship) , and that I need to be doing even more than what I am doing right now. I don’t think the question was asked to deceive or create doubt, but was a sincere one, but remember the devil is subtle, like a roaring lion seeking those he can devour; and we also know that he has come to steal, kill and destroy our faith and belief in God. If this question was inquired of me directly I would explain it like this. Besides looking at all of the wonders we see with our eyes every day, being in person or on TV, there is evidence that there is a God. John 1:1 states that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word. The Word is spoken and written. The written Word is the Bible, and the Bible is my belief system. I believe everything in it. I don’t just take the good and pretty, and do away with that which I do not want to do. I strive to do ALL of the written Word of God. I do fall short at times, but I know that God understands, and when I sincerely turn from that which doesn’t please Him and do His Will, He forgives me. This is my belief system, so for me there is a God. As far as the questions of “What if I am doing all of this praying and believing for nothing?” My answer would be that I have a better quality of life believing that there is a God that loves me unconditionally, that has a purpose for my life, that is always with me even when I feel alone, who never leaves me nor forsake me, who can and does heal me of all my infirmities, who sent His only Son to die for me and who is returning for me and others to be with Him forever and ever; where there is no sickness, no worries, no crying, no dying, no hurt or disappointment. Being a Christian is a good thing; we have a belief system of positive thinking and doing. Positive thinking is good for your overall health – body and mind. Of course, our “positive thinking” is the Word of God. It’s good to know that when your circumstance say you’re about to lose, there’s a God that says you’ve already won. It’s is good to know that when you're sick in your body or even worse the doctor say “any day now”, that there’s a God that can and will heal you. He is Jehovah Jirah, the Lord God that provides for us. He is Jehovah Shalom, the Lord God that is our peace. He is El Shaddai, the Lord God that is more than enough for us. He owns a thousand cattle on a thousand hills, and His very streets are paved with gold. He can do the impossible for those who can believe. Being a Christian, believing in the Word, in God, gives us hope, gives our life hope. We have something good to hold on to; it’s not over for us. We are not like those in this world system, clinging to the ways of this world that when they hit rock bottom, that is the end for them. There is nothing for them to hold on to. I have a better quality of life because I walk with the Lord. So whether Jesus comes back tomorrow or next year or fifty (50) years from now, being a believer in the Word, in God, is a better life, and that alone count for a great deal. We all want to live and have the best life that we can, and knowing and believing that there is a God, a God that loves and gives good gifts to His children, and having His Son as personal Lord and Savior allows us to have such a life. So praying and believing in not in vain; it’s not for nothing. On the other hand worrying and stressing makes you lose sleep, makes you look older and feel grumpier, but it is also not good for your heart or your outlook on life. When the doctor tells people of this world system that they don’t have much time, they accept that as “truth”, take their meds, and try to live out the best life they can. We as believers hear what the doctor says, but we choose to believe the report of our God. His report says that by the stripes of Jesus we were healed. “Were” being past tense meaning that healing is already here; it’s already available. All we have to do is receive it. When it looks like there won’t be enough money to pay the bills, the world goes and borrow from Peter to pay Paul. We believers serve a God that supplies all of our needs according to HIS riches in glory through Christ Jesus. He isn’t going by what you have in your account, but it is according to HIS RICHES! Now some might say that sounds really great, but does it really happen. I can say from experience that it does. I cannot count the times that God has come through for me whether monetarily, healing or for peace, but it has always been there for me – He is always there for me; even when I not right, He’s always there. Can the people of this world system say the same the thing? No! You can count me as being lucky, but I know that it is God! Don’t get weary in well doing, and don’t get distracted! Keep knocking, keep asking and keep seeking. Hold on to the confession of your faith in God, because He is Real which means His Word is Real! He is who He says He is, and He can do what He says He can do! And His Son, Jesus, is coming back very soon! Did you put on your armor today??? Be Encouraged Today!!! Do You Fear Hell Enough??

Do You Fear Hell? There are some people that believe that just being “good” is going to grant them entrance into Heaven. A lot of people think just because they attend church every time the doors are opened that they are going to Heaven. But what these people don’t realized or do not acknowledge is that being good and/or going to church doesn’t make you a Child of God. It is good to be a “good” person and to attend church (Hebrews 10:25 - 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching), but if there is still sin, habitual sin, in your life, you are not going to Heaven. Let me make this simple and plain so that it is easily understood; if you are not doing the Word of God, loves what He loves and hate what He hates, you are going to Hell. The Word of God says that when Jesus comes back He will be looking for those who look like Him. Jesus did the Will of the Father, His Word! There was a point in my own life that I believed I was going to Hell, I made bad decisions and chose to do things I knew were not pleasing in God’s sight – not as a Child of God would. So, I did what I wanted; if I was going to Hell, I was going to enjoy the now. I didn’t anything “bad”, but the conviction of knowing the Word of God and not doing it weighed on me. I knew back then that Hell is real, and that wasn’t where I wanted to go. There are so many good church going, tongue-talking saints with sin running rampant in their lives; just like I did. It’s because there is no real fear of going to Hell and missing Heaven. There are so many behind the pulpit that won’t tell people that they are going to Hell if they aren’t doing the Word, this is true! But it will much harder for “us” who know the Truth, The Word of God, and refuse to do it. For those who know to do good, do the Word of God, and does it not; to him it becomes sin (James 4:17). I’m talking to myself too; I’ve been there, going to church and living a lie. Be honest with yourself. All the bad things we’ve heard about Hell in church and from movies, and yet we have no fear of going there. We live our lives the way we want to, only pleasing ourselves and our flesh, and we could care less if it is pleasing in God’s sight or not. God sees and knows ALL. There is nothing we do, say or even think that He doesn’t know. Everybody wants to go the Heaven, but they don’t want to do what it takes to get there. Yes, there are conditions to making it into Heaven and being a “good” person and/or going to church isn’t all it takes; there is so much more. Think about this….. The trump blows, those who are dead in Christ will go up, and we who are alive are caught up, and you are still here. You missed it! You will know exactly what happened, and what is to come. Don’t let this be you! Lord, Holy Spirit, help this not be me! I don’t want to go to Hell; I refuse to miss Heaven! You should refuse the same, and do all within your knowledge of the Word of God to not miss Jesus when He comes. Repent now while there is still time. There is nothing to “bad” that God won’t forgive you. Truly turn from your sin and do it no more. I’ve said it before. There are going to be a lot of sad church goers and “good” people who are going to be left behind when Jesus says “Come up Hither”. Don’t let this be you. Repent NOW!!!! Did you put on your armor today??? Be Encouraged Today!!! Remember there's a sinner's prayer on this site. If you have back-slid or haven't tasted and seen that the Lord is Good, say this prayer. Praise!

How many times have you said or heard someone say “That was some good praise and worship this Sunday morning.” But praise is not just for the church services. You can praise the Lord anywhere – in your car, at work or at home. Psalms 34:1 states: I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. Praise can be done anytime and anywhere. There’s no correct or incorrect way to do it. There is no time limit it should be done. When you have a song in your heart, it can be sung aloud or hummed. Do you know why we have praise and worship at the beginning of church service? Praise and worship “charges” the atmosphere, it prepares the heart to receive, and more importantly, it brings you closer to God. It is what I like to call “loving on God.” We all know that God loves us, and praise is another way, besides our obedience to His Word, to show God how much we love Him. Praise helps us do away with those things, sin or hardship, which so easy besets us (Hebrews 12:1); those things that keep us from running this race, and it brings us to a place of repentance. We all go through things and yes, prayer is good and should be done, but as you walk through the valley it helps to have a song of praise in your heart. When the devil is messing with me or those in my family, I love to listen to Dorothy Norwood “Shake the Devil Off.” I love that song. Thinking about this song too, we don’t hear about rebuking the devil in the name of Jesus anymore. We use to sing a song in church a long time ago that went like this: I rebuke you Satan in the name of the Lord, to put down your weapons and flee. For the Lord has given me authority to stomp all over you. (Repeat) - Powerful! When the devil starts messing with you and yours, start sing this song; get it down in your spirit where you believe in that God given authority! POWERFUL! Praise is powerful! Or when situation or circumstances try to have me weighed down, I love to listen to Yolanda Adams’ “I’m Still Here.” No matter what I’ve gone through and have had to endure in my life, I am still here, and it’s only the because of the Word of God in my life and that I have Jesus as Lord and Savior. When I have people lying and talking about me, even cheating me, I put on Vicki Winans’ “As Long as I have King Jesus”; I cannot sit still. She says in the song that she been lied on, cheated, talked about, miss treated, but as long as she has King Jesus, she doesn’t need anybody else, and this is so true. In our life we will have things happen to us, and it would seem as though we are going under, that we have already lost, but as long as we know who we are in Christ Jesus and that as long as we have Him in our lives, we don’t need anybody else. Praise will put you in that place where you know who you are, and you know whom you serve, and that One you serve is MORE than able to perform His Word! There have been times while I was praising in my truck; I’ve gotten so “caught up” in the Spirit; that while I’m worshiping and praising and praying in the Spirit (I’m coming out of the outer court and into the Holies of Holies ) that I arrive at my destination without knowing – Thank you Jesus for keeping me! Some of my favorite groups and artists are: Petra Yolanda Adams White Heart Shirley Caesar Dottie Peoples Carmen Russ Taff Degarmo & Key – Yes, I’m a child of the 80’s. If you need to dance on the devil’s head and put him under your feet where he belongs, then I recommend Shirley Caesar – can’t sit still! Praise should happen every day, even if it’s only on your commute to work. It will change and charge your atmosphere, your life – your outlook on life with encouragement of the Word of God. If you can, do it in your home; no atmosphere needs a “God charge” more than the home. Praise – Do it! It does a life good! Did You put your armor on today??? Be Encouraged Today!!! Remember there's a sinner's prayer on this site. If you have back-slid or haven't tasted and seen that the Lord is Good, say this prayer. Spiritual Vitamins

Well Praise the Lord! He along is worthy of our praise! Everyone will take some kind of vitamin/supplement in their lifetime. There are vitamins for just about every area of our health life. There are vitamins for your overall health, for your eyes, joints, skin etc. You name it; it’s out there! We take these vitamins daily, faithfully. When you take the first vitamin the first day, you see no change most of the time. Over time, when taken correctly, you begin to see and feel the benefits of taking the vitamins or supplements. You begin to reap the benefits of taking them daily. Well it’s the same with the Word of God. The Word of God is our spiritual vitamins. The more you use the Word of God, the more you benefit from it. And how do we use the Word of God – by speaking it out of our mouths. And you can’t speak it out of your mouth unless you know it; and you won’t know it unless you read and study it. The more you speak out of your mouth that by the Blood and Stripes of Jesus that you are healed, the more and the quicker healing with come. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). You don’t need a preacher to hear the Word of God when the Word is already on the inside of you. The Word is near, very near, in your mouth and in your heart (Romans 10:8 and Deuteronomy 30:14). Now there is nothing wrong with getting agreement for something you’ve already prayed/asked, believing you received it. A lot of times people want prayer without even asking the Father themselves first; they want others to use their faith to pull in their healing or the increase in their finances. The Word of God will work for you just as it does for Joyce Myers, Kenneth Copeland or Creflo Dollar (some of my favorite TV ministers). You can have faith just like theirs but you have to be willing to get in God’s Word and not waver in your faith. You have to settle within yourself that you’re going to believe God’s Word; that God is who His Word says that He is, and that He can do what His Word says He can do. God is no respecter of persons. If He, God, did it for one; He can and will do it for another. But some many of us are so spiritual starved, under nourished because we don’t take time to feed our spiritual selves. It’s ok; you can say “Ouch Hallelujah!” When you know better, you do better! This is why daily confessing of the Word of God is so very important especially in these last days. When the enemy throws a “monkey wrench” in your plans/your life, there should be a Word already within you to speak out your mouth concerning the situation. Pastor may not be available to pray; you need to be able to speak the Word of God for yourself. The Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit, and it has the power to destroy the works of the enemy causing him, the devil, to cease in his maneuvers and stop in his operations against you and your family. The devil is a liar and a defeated foe where we, the Sons and Daughter of the Most High, are concerned. You just need to make sure you a spiritually healthy before you go into battle, which is every day if you haven’t figured that out by now. God has given us weapons to fight against the tricks of the enemy (Ephesians 6:10-18), but the greatest weapon He has given us is His Word. Start taking your spiritual vitamins today and every day! It does a body good and fantastic for manifesting victories in your life! Did you put your armor on??? Be Encouraged Today!!! Remember there's a sinner's prayer on this site. If you have back-slid or haven't tasted and seen that the Lord is Good, say this prayer. You don't have to be in a church building to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. I'm Back!!!!

I’m Back! It’s been awhile since last I posted, but I needed some time to “get some things” off of me. Some of you may know that my four (4) year old, Dorrien, was diagnosed with a mild speech delay about two (2) years ago. This hit me really hard because my children are a “soft” spot for me. You can do or say anything to me or anything can happen to me – I’m a pretty tough cookie, but when it comes to my kids; well, it’s hard for me. All parents want their kids to be healthy and whole in all areas of life. My husband and I are healthy people; we work out and try to eat right. I did all that my doctors told me to do during ALL of my pregnancies, and still this happened. The topic of autism has come up, but we are at a “wait and see” type deal. Dorrien is very smart and has good social skills; so they have just diagnosed him with a mild developmental delay. Well my two (2) year old son, Gianni, is going through this very same thing. He’s said a word here and there, but is not talking the way he should. He smiled, laughed and played like any normal kid; I know the signs of early autism; I’ve read about them. By the age of eighteen (18) months, he was still not talking. Gianni’s a smart kiddo too and very active and independent. Dorrien is receiving services and is doing very well in school – he had an awesome first teacher (ME), and Gianni will have an evaluation early January and start to have services. None of this change the way I feel about boys; I’m gonna love, hug and kiss on them even when they don’t want me too; I’m Mom, I can do that. But there was a part of me that wondered why………… I could not understand why this happened to my boys. I was healthy, took my vitamins, ate well, exercised and had no complications during birth. I began to wonder if I were being punished for past sins (I know they are under the Blood); I mean, what did I do to deserve this? I wasn’t angry with God; I just didn’t understand. Not once, but twice this happened. I know what statistics say about boys going through this more than girls, but I serve the Most High God; I’m the King’s Kid…. It truly does rain on the just and unjust alike; I am no exception. I took this time off to “get this off of me”. When I found out about Dorrien about two (2) years ago, I cried and cried. When crying was over, it was time for action! With Gianni, I didn’t do so much crying, just a lot of “self-soul-searching”. I could not hear from the Lord clearly with all these questions constantly swirling around in my head. I will not write if I cannot hear. Yes, I can look in the back of the Bible and pick a topic or write about a “hot topic” in the Bible. I am more interested in writing a “timely” message, what God is saying now, not to just simply “pick a topic” that sound good. I want to write about what the Lord has to say, not what I have to say about a topic. Anybody can quote scripture and talk about it, but is it what people need to hear right now, today? Yes, I write about things I have gone through, and how God brought me through, but only on those things that I believe God wants me share. God is ALWAYS speaking, but we have to be in a place to hear Him. I have not been in “that” place; thus, I haven’t written. Some things take time for us to “get over”; others not so much. But we should never be in a rush, take time to deal with things that way they can’t “rear their ugly heads” again. I came to the realization that I, we – others, may never know why our child has delays or is diagnosed with autism, but questions I asked myself, or rather I heard were: “Do you trust Me, God?” “Yes, I trust you Lord”. “Do you believe I love you?” “Of course you love; I know you do.” “Will you still serve me despite not understanding?” “Until the day I die and after that!” I understood that no matter what goes on in my life or my children’s lives, that in my heart, these answers will always remain the same. God doesn’t mind us asking why, but even in not receiving an answer or one you like, we must always trust in and that our Father God knows best. I'm not so easily defeated; maybe I was down a bit, but I'm Back! With each trial........ I only get stronger! Did you put your armor on??? Be Encouraged Today!!! Have a Happy, Wonderful & Prosperous New Year in the Lord! If you say this prayer, contact me; let me welcome you and personally encouraged you in your new life with Jesus!
