Well if you haven’t heard yet, my husband and I are expecting another bundle of joy due September 25th of this year. I'm thinking it's a boy because I have been so sick just like with Dorrien. Most of you know that I said Dorrien was it – No more babies, and I meant it! I guess God had a different plan/idea about that for us. When I found out, I wasn’t mad or “over-joyed”, but God has placed a desire and an excitement on the inside of me for the baby. Yeah, it would seem that this has interrupted some plans of mine and my husband, but here we are. I will say that I did not want to be pregnant; it’s just the truth. But I keep reminding myself that there is nothing that will happen in my life that God doesn’t already know will happen. He knows everything about me; He even knows the number of hairs on my head (Matt 10:32). He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. There is nothing that escapes the eyes of the God (Job 34:21).
The Holy Spirit reminded that nothing surprises God; He already knows. This also showed me that God is in control. Proverbs 19:21 states:
Many plans are in a man's mind, but it is the Lord's purpose for him that will stand.
Now my husband and I could gotten bent-out-of-shape about this, but I believe because we have decided to have a good attitude about this God is going to bless us. In every surprising or unexpected situation or experience that we will encounter in this life, we have a CHOICE. We can be upset and depressed, or we can walk in the joy of our Lord and Savior Jesus and have peace and happiness. It is completely our choice. God has given us “free will”; we get to choose. Children are blessing, and we have decided to enjoy this blessing. Proverbs 15:13 states:
A glad heart makes a cheerful countenance, but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.
Our spirits are not broken. Just the other day my husband was saying how excited he was getting about the baby. When I told my husband we were pregnant, you’d thought I was speaking a foreign language. Every now-and-then he’ll say ‘I can’t believe we are pregnant.’ I have been pleading the Blood of Jesus over my womb and the baby, speaking that he/she is being marvelously and wondrously formed in my womb. I’ve been praying that he/she is developing and everything on the inside is developing normally and already operates at 100% capacity. This is what I did for my other pregnancies. I go on www.babiesonline.com every week to see how the baby should be developing and it is so exciting. Didn’t think I would feel this way about having another baby. I mean, my husband would sometimes “joke” about us having another baby, and I would about get “spittin fire” mad – don’t play.
Now if I were still in this world, I would be upset; my spirit would be crushed. But I’ve long since put my hand in the hand of the Man with my master plan. I know that nothing I go through, good or bad, will ever surprise God. It gives me peace to know that God sees me, and He always got me. There is nothing we go through, nowhere we can go that God doesn’t know, or sees us; and in every situation He’s got the answer of peace, joy, love, deliverance, healing – EVERYTHING. There is nothing impossible for Him to those who believe. He is in control, and His promises are yes and amen (2 Corth. 1:20).
Things we go through and experience might be a surprise to us - might throw a "monkey-wrench" in our plans, but it never surprises God. He is all knowing. When you are "hit" with a surprise or unexpected experience, take the time to settle down and remember 'God knew this was going to happen; now let me see what His Word says about this'and make the CHOICE to rejoice despite the situation. Fake it until you make it. Sometimes you've got to talk to yourself "The joy of the Lord is my strength" or "By the stripes of Jesus I am healed" or "Because I am saved my whole household is saved". You got the keep speaking it even when you don't feel like, even when you don't see the change - keep saying it until the Word is all you will say about that situation. Everytime the enemy starts talking to you, telling you that you're depressed, your loved ones will never walk according to God's Will for their lives or telling you that you are sick and to just give in to it. NO! SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD! Speak it until that's all you will say concerning your situation. Someone says 'Girl you sound so sick.' Your response should be 'Oh, but by the stripes of Jesus I am the healed, and I have already received my healing.' Don't be scared! We win in Jesus'name! Now act like you've already won!
Remember there's a sinner's prayer on this site. If you have back-slid or haven't tasted and seen that the Lord is Good, then say this prayer. You don't have to be in a church building to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. There is a moment that will happen, and it will happen in a twinkling of an eye (as fast as you can blink), and those who have confessed Jesus as Lord and have walked according to the Word of God will be raptured up to be with Him forever and ever. Yes, it sounds too fantastical to be real, but don't take the chance that it's not and be left behind. So don't put this off. No one knows the hour or the day when this will take place, but it is for us to be ready when it's time to go. The first step is to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. If you say this prayer, contact me; let me welcome you and personally encouraged you in your new life with Jesus!

I can relate to your thoughts about another baby. My wife and I had quit at three boys and she had gone back to college when, lo and behold, pregnant again! We thought surely this was going to be a girl and she put her college on hold again. We had the most wonderful boy #4 and have been blessed by him every day since. God does know what He's doing! Take a look at my blog and share it with your friends if you can: http://roadrevelations.org. Be blessed!
Thank you Bill for that comment. It's good to know that I'm not the only one (wink). In anything that I go through, sometimes after I've calmed down - sometime you just have to calm down first, but I always turn to God. He's my ONLY source for everything I will ever need. And I know that He knows everything that's going on with me and my family. I just trust Him. Even when weeping endures for that night, the joy of my Lord always returns. It's just a good feeling when I know that He has answer, a way of escape, and strength to go through for every situation. I just love Him - He is so awesome. I wish people can just get a glimpse at what I see and know of Him. There would be no denying Him. I'll put you on my facebook page; I do have your blog on this site too. All they have to is click, but sometimes you have to mention for some people to actually know that it's there. God bless you!
Sorry I'm a little late on this, but what a blessing! Congratulations Shan! I will be praying for you and this baby to be healthy and joyful.
